Sequence is seeking a Wildlife Biologist Group Leader who would be charged with direction and management of field biological studies and monitoring projects throughout Northern California. The ideal individual would have at least 8+ years of experience directing field studies and construction monitoring activities for multiple, simultaneous projects throughout California. Must have the abilities to supervise biological staff, construction monitors and other related personnel on construction monitoring and biological field studies. Candidates must have the aptitude to interact with clients and third party construction or engineering subcontractors on a daily basis. Additional responsibilities will include assisting in the design of biological field studies, scheduling personnel, and directly performing field duties as needed. Mentoring entry to mid-level field staff will be required. This is a demanding position that requires a very well organized and competent individual that can manage 10 to 20 simultaneous ongoing projects at one time. Candidates must enjoy working in the field, be flexible and capable of wearing many hats in a fast paced environment. Requires a degree in Biology, Ecology Cultural Resources or related discipline. MS degree desired. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities required. Must be able to work in the warm California weather and lift at least 50lbs.
